Videos

NOTE: These videos are a demonstration of the drills. Each set and reps are already set up, however, these sets and reps are only recommendations, the different levels such as beginner, intermediate and advanced is not necessarily based on skills. If you just started and you really want to get better quick then you are more than welcome to try for intermediate or even advances. But you can make your own reps or sets according to your time limit, but try to not go less than beginner level.  Since the sets and reps are able to be changed easily you can put different drills into 1 workout. For example, you have 30 minutes for your workout, and you want to learn dribbling, shooting, and defense then just make the sets and reps to reach 30 minutes but if you only want to learn dribbling and shooting then that is possible, make the reps and sets for dribbling and shooting even more. Make the workouts your own. Do not forget to warmup at the beginning and cooling down at the end.

Passing drills

Passing drills

Play Video

There are 3 different types of passing which are the chest pass, overhead pass, and bounce pass. The chest pass is pushing the ball forward from your chest to your teammate's chest. The chest pass is important because it is used to move the ball around the court. Second is the bounce pass. The bounce pass is similar to the chest pass but instead bounce pass has to hit the floor before your teammate. Bounce pass important because it is difficult to do a chest pass when you are guarded. the last pass is called the overhead pass. The overhead pass is throwing the ball higher than a usual chest pass. It is used because when the ball elevates it is easier for the receiver to catch it.

Every dribbling moves has a basic and the drills above are drills to strengthen your basics, meaning that if you master the drills above you can master other dribbling moves easier.

Layups are the highest percentage shot in basketball meaning easy and fast points. There are many different types of layups too such as euro step, jump stops, spin moves, etc. But the layup above is the most basic layup every player has to have in their skillset. In basketball missing an open layup is one of the most embarrassing things that can happen to any player.
